Peer Review Policy
Journal of Education, Psychology and Inclusion (JEPI) follows a peer review process intended to ensure academic quality, fairness, relevance, and editorial integrity. All manuscripts submitted to the journal are first assessed by the editorial office to determine whether they fall within the journal’s scope and meet basic standards of scholarly presentation, originality, and ethical compliance.
Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening may be sent for peer review. The purpose of peer review is to assist the editorial team in evaluating the scholarly merit, methodological soundness, conceptual clarity, originality, and contribution of the submission to the fields of education, psychology, and inclusion.
The journal ordinarily follows a double-anonymous peer review process, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are not disclosed to one another during review. Authors are therefore expected to prepare manuscripts in a manner that does not reveal personal or institutional identity within the main review file, except where disclosure is academically necessary and appropriately handled.
Reviewers are invited on the basis of subject expertise and relevance to the manuscript under consideration. They are expected to provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations that assist both the editor and the author. Reviewers are requested to assess the manuscript in terms of originality, academic quality, relevance to the journal, organization and clarity, literature engagement, methodological appropriateness, ethical compliance where applicable, and the overall contribution of the work.
Editorial decisions are made on the basis of the reviewers’ reports together with the independent judgement of the editor. A manuscript may be accepted, accepted with minor revisions, invited for major revision and resubmission, or declined. Where revisions are requested, authors are expected to respond carefully and respectfully to editorial and reviewer comments and to submit a revised manuscript within the stipulated period.
The journal is committed to fairness, confidentiality, and academic integrity throughout the review process. Manuscripts under review are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers are expected not to use, circulate, or disclose unpublished material from the manuscript for any purpose outside the review process. Editors and reviewers should also declare any conflict of interest that may affect impartial judgement.
The editorial office reserves the right to reject a submission without external review where the manuscript is clearly outside the journal’s scope, does not meet minimum scholarly standards, contains substantial ethical concerns, or is otherwise unsuitable for peer review consideration.
JEPI seeks to ensure that peer review remains rigorous, professional, and constructive. The review process is intended not only to support editorial decision-making but also to help authors strengthen the scholarly quality and clarity of their work.
