Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit original scholarly work to the Journal of Education, Psychology and Inclusion (JEPI) through the journal’s online submission system. JEPI welcomes high-quality manuscripts in the fields of education, psychology, and inclusive education, including work related to pedagogy, curriculum and instruction, educational psychology, learning, motivation and cognition, child and adolescent development, guidance and counselling, teacher education, diversity and inclusion, special and inclusive education, neurodiversity, learner support, mental health in educational contexts, and related interdisciplinary areas.

The journal considers submissions such as research articles, review articles, conceptual papers, case studies, short communications, book reviews, systematic reviews or meta-analyses, and practice- or field-based reports that fall within the journal’s scope and editorial priorities. Manuscripts should be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. Submissions must reflect academic integrity and must not involve plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate submission, or inappropriate authorship practices.

Manuscripts should be prepared in clear, formal, scholarly English and should follow a consistent academic format throughout. A submission should ordinarily include a concise and informative title, author details, an abstract of approximately 150–250 words, 4 to 6 keywords, and a well-structured main text appropriate to the type of manuscript. Depending on the nature of the submission, the main text may include an introduction, review of literature, objectives or research questions, methodology, results or analysis, discussion, conclusion, implications, and references. Tables and figures should be clearly numbered, appropriately captioned, cited in the text, and presented in publishable quality.

JEPI prefers the use of APA Style (7th edition) unless otherwise specified. Authors are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of citations and references and for ensuring that all in-text citations correspond correctly to the reference list. Authors should also ensure that any copyrighted material reproduced from other sources is accompanied by appropriate acknowledgement and permission where required. Where research involves participants, institutions, or sensitive data, necessary ethical clearance should be secured before submission.

All manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to determine whether the submission fits the journal’s scope, meets minimum academic and formatting expectations, and satisfies basic ethical requirements. Manuscripts that successfully pass this stage may proceed to peer review in accordance with the journal’s review policy. Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit, relevance, originality, clarity, methodological quality, and the contribution of the manuscript to the field. Authors may be asked to revise and resubmit their work in response to editorial or reviewer comments.

Before completing submission, authors should ensure that the manuscript complies with the journal’s requirements, that references and metadata have been checked carefully, and that tables, figures, and supplementary materials are properly prepared. Submission to the journal implies that the work is original, that all authors have made a genuine academic contribution, and that the manuscript is being submitted in good faith for editorial consideration.

JEPI follows an open access publishing model, and published articles are made freely available to readers. Information relating to peer review, plagiarism screening, privacy, open access, and other publication policies should be consulted through the relevant pages of the journal website. Authors are encouraged to submit carefully prepared and academically meaningful work that contributes to scholarship in education, psychology, and inclusion.
