Archiving Policy
Journal of Education, Psychology and Inclusion (JEPI) is committed to ensuring the continued accessibility and preservation of its published scholarly content. As an online-only journal, JEPI recognizes the importance of maintaining a reliable archive of the journal’s published material in order to support continuity of access, scholarly record integrity, and long-term availability. Clear archiving arrangements are part of recognized best practice in scholarly publishing and should be stated transparently on the journal website.
The journal maintains an online archive of its published issues and articles on the journal website. Archived content is organized and made available through the journal’s issue-based records so that previously published material remains accessible to readers, authors, and indexing systems. ISSN India’s guidance for online serials specifically expects publishers to maintain and update archives, preferably in a dedicated archive section or in continuity with the main journal page.
JEPI also seeks to adopt and maintain appropriate digital preservation arrangements in line with the technical capacities of its publishing platform and the journal’s stage of development. For journals using Open Journal Systems, recognized preservation options include services such as the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) and other long-term archiving solutions based on distributed preservation models. PKP guidance makes clear that preservation services are intended for long-term access to journal content and are distinct from routine website backup procedures.
Where a formal third-party preservation or archiving service is enabled for the journal, the relevant details will be displayed clearly on the website and updated as necessary. Until such arrangements are formally activated and publicly listed, the journal’s website archive should be regarded as the primary point of access to published content. This wording is important because transparency standards require journals to describe their actual arrangements accurately rather than imply services not yet in place.
The journal may update this policy from time to time in order to reflect changes in preservation infrastructure, platform configuration, and internationally recognized best practice in journal archiving and digital preservation.
