Copyright and Licensing Policy
Journal of Education, Psychology and Inclusion (JEPI) is an open access, online-only journal. Authors retain copyright in their work. By submitting and publishing with JEPI, authors grant the journal the non-exclusive right to publish, distribute, preserve, and identify the published article as the Version of Record. Clear copyright and licensing terms are a core part of recognized best practice in scholarly publishing.
Unless otherwise stated, articles published in JEPI are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) license. Under this license, users may copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format for non-commercial purposes, provided appropriate credit is given to the author(s) and the journal, a link to the license is provided, and the work is not modified or adapted. Creative Commons describes this license as allowing sharing in un-adapted form with attribution, while restricting commercial use and derivative use.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions are original and that any third-party material included in the manuscript has been used with appropriate permission, acknowledgement, and citation where required. If material within an article is not covered by the journal’s standard license, that exception should be indicated clearly in the article itself. Clear separation between the journal’s licensing terms and any third-party restrictions is part of good publishing practice.
Licensing information should be read together with the journal’s Open Access Policy and displayed consistently on the website and published articles. Transparency guidance specifically expects copyright and licensing terms to be clearly stated and not to conflict with the journal’s open-access statement.
